Shortstraw are a Johannesburg band that labels their sound as trash folk. Their set started with some melodic and dreamy acoustic songs and the guys ended the night off with some more lively tracks. Go check them out at the Bohemian on 19 Feb.

can you make something everyday for a year?
Shara, a textile creator from North Devon England, has taken on the challenge to create a rabbit from pretty much anything everyday for 365 days. I've picked some of my favorites. Shara is only at the start of her rabbit journey, so it will be very interesting to see what she comes up with. See A rabbit A day.

I [heart] Anna Garfoth!
Anna Garforth, illustrator and designer, works with recycled and natural materials to create thought provoking public works of art, a sort of sustainable cityscape art. I thought these paper pyramids were just ingeniously simple and very effective to liven up this rusty old riveted wall for the 'Love your street' project that was part of the London Festival of Architecture 2010.
